Berkeley Arts Magnet at Whittier school — or BAM — is a TK through 5 elementary school located in beautiful Berkeley, California. BAM has a rich and diverse student community, and a unique history.
BAM is one of the 356 elementary schools named as a 2023 California Distinguished Schools by the California Department of Education. This program recognizes schools for their excellent work in closing the achievement gap and achieving exceptional student performance. This award is a testament to the amazing talent and hard work by the school’s administrators, teachers, and staff. It also reflects the dedication of the community-at-large who volunteer and donate for the benefit of all. And most of all, it’s a testament to the students, to whom we are all dedicated.
