BAM’s BERKELEY BIKE RIDE READ-A-THON

The Read-A-Thon is a school-wide celebration of reading that gives students and families the opportunity to enjoy books together. It’s also an important event for BAM, raising funds to support academic and community programs.

RULES OF THE ROAD

  1. Ask your friends and family to help support you on your reading journey by collecting donations through 99pledges.
  2. How far will you go? Color in one DASH ( ▱ ) on the map for every 15 minutes that you read. You can keep reading beyond your goal—just be sure to log all your minutes on your reading log!
  3. Earn raffle tickets as you read!
  4. Help your class compete for the most minutes!

DONATIONS

We hope every student can raise at least $60 from their sponsors this year.

Online: Caregivers will receive an email with a link to your student’s 99pledges page. If you don’t receive it, visit:

Cash or checks: You can drop off donations in the PTA box in the main office. Checks should be made out to Berkeley Arts Magnet PTA.

Achieve your grade-level reading goal and return your filled-in map. Reading, storytime, and read-along all count! Each completed map earns 5 raffle tickets.

TK/Kindergarten: 6 hours
1st / 2nd grade: 8 hours
3rd / 4th grade: 10 hours
5th grade: 14 hours		Raffle prizes include gift cards to favorite local shops, including Mr. Mopps, Five Little Monkeys, and more!
